The basic mission of commUNITY inspiration is the placement of cross-assistance and cooperation at international, intercontinental level. We want to actively contribute to improving the living conditions of poor rural people in Mexico and offer the possibility of active involvement of the general Euro-American public. This leads to the logical output of the whole project what will be a high level of cultural enrichment.
The commUNITY inspiration targets the developing the economically weak communities through permanently available knowledge and know-how from developed parts of the world. The base will be teaching English and partly we would like to participate in areas of existing development programmes (microfinances, long-distance adoption, fair trade etc.).
Knowledge of the English language will facilitate local communities to find work (to improve the possibility of their establishment at the labour market) and will help to develop their own small-scale business activities which they have already begun. commUNITY inspiration will teach English only in the communities in which the effects will be guaranteed. These communities are located in attractive tourist areas or where (or very close to them) some ecotourism projects have been already started, demanding linguistically equipped personnel.
English language in the selected communities is tauthgt by the volunteers of commUNITY inspiration who are trained and tested in highly effective method. .
A unique feature of our project are benefits for all its supporters. Each volunteer is supported by his/her own „sending community“ (circle of friends and family members, classmates, colleagues, members of sports clubs or institutions.) which help pay together the operating costs of their volunteer. In return, the volunteer provides personal feedback (information about events and daily life of the "supported community" in Mexico by a regular web blog accompanied by photos and videos) to his/her „sending community“ during the whole project. As already mentioned, this will lead to cultural enrichment and personal development of all the participants. The "community money" will be used solely to cover costs associated with volunteer´s work. This will be absolutely direct funding of community volunteer, without any part of these funds used "anonymously" on the operation of the organisation.

The pilot project started in Mexico in the first four selected communities in the first half of October 2008 with the participation of two volunteers of commUNITY inspiration (Helen Vodrazkova and Filip Sena). We have chosen Mexico as a destination of our assistance because of the existing links to local microfinance institutions, where one of the founders of commUNITY inspiration, Tomas Hes, has been successfully operating for several years.
The first two volunteers have successfuly returned from their missions, have experienced lots of enthusiasm from the part of the Mexican students who, in three months, have learned to speak English fluently for 5 minutes. (The results you can see on video on Helen´s blog.) Now we have other 4 enthusiastic volunteers, who are ready to leave for Mexico in September, and who are looking for their sending communities!
We all believe that commUNITY inspiration will become a long-term, important player in the process of the development of poor regions in Mexico. Likewise, we believe we can promote and popuralize the areas of volunteerism and human solidarity.
